Another string related question. I have a Banjolele and wondered whether you just need ukulele strings when restringing. I couldn't see anything specific for banjolele strings when I searched on the SUS website.
Hi Linda I just replaced my tenor banjole strings with Anuenue Clearwater strings and they sound great, you can get them from world of ukes if Matt doesn't sell them All the best John
Hi Matt I am giving that a try but don't seem to get much of noise from the strings when using my index finger probably because the nail is very short I think bit most likely I'm doing something wrong I have looked at your claw hammer videos and can play the c major scale no problems but not much noise so I will keep trying 👍 ps Matt sent you email re book cheers John
For the moment mainly strumming with my ukulele group where appropriate - things like the Wurzels songs or a new favourite Dirty Old Town. Would like to try some finger picking though. It's definitely fun to play.
Yes great fun I have a good few ukuleles but the banjole is great fun as you say. I am going to get buy Matt's fingerstyle book it should be very helpful 👍
Hi Linda, you can get special Banjo ukulele strings - Aquila make a set. To be hinest though I think most of us prefer to experiment with normal strings. I use Worth Clear mediums on my Mya Moe concert banjo uke. Cheers, Matt
